The idea of ‘Roots’ Fitness as a name is formed out of three main elements:
The symbolism of a tree’s roots and how they are vital for the tree’s strength, stability, growth and overall health. Additionally, the roots of the tree are not seen, however, their health shows in the actual tree above ground. This reflects my values of training to improve our health and longevity ‘on the inside’ first and foremost, and the belief that this will then show on the outside.
Tree roots resemble the branching system of capillaries in our lungs, representing cardiovascular health and fitness.
The importance of nature and how it is vital in grounding us. Time in nature helps to calm the nervous system, reduce inflammation, and promotes wellbeing. The green, secluded setting of the studio aims to incorporate the enjoyment of nature into training, making it a beautiful space to train in.
How often are gyms dark, intimidating and unwelcoming places which you want to leave as soon as possible? Roots Studio combines serious training in a place which is positive for mind body and soul.
